Vtg 70s Paul Mayen Globe Table Lamp Light Mid Century Modern Atomic Retro Rare. Vintage 70s Paul Mayen Table Lamp! -Super rare from the 70s, this lamp screams mid century! -Lamp has a thick acrylic sphere/orb shade that is held to the lamp with 3 chrome spikes that go through the orb and screw in to the lamp base -Travertine stone base, chrome tube, hanging chrome pull on/off switch (hangs from a chain inside the orb) -The orb can also tilt! The light mechanism along with the orb can be tilted if desired, shown in the fourth photo. The lamp is not signed but our research tells us this may have been designed by Paul Mayen, he also made a similar floor lamp. In working condition, the electrical cord is a old one but is working fine. Takes a standard size light bulb. The lamp stands at about 25 tall. The orb has a circumference of 37" and a diameter of about 12".

The base measures just shy of 5.25 square. The lamp all together weighs just under 8 lbs. Overall the lamp is in very good condition.

The orb shade has a yellow tint to it and on top a stronger yellow color which may be from use with light bulbs back in the day getting so hot. The shade also has some very tiny fine speckles on the top only.

The travertine base has an irregular corner which may have been chipped or that could be just the nature of the travertine. Please view the photos of this. Own this piece of Mid Century greatness!
