A phenomenal item of Mid Century Modern decor, created by legendary Italian designer Alfredo Barbini in the 1950's for Cenedese Murano-Italy, a high end lighting outfit catering to exclusivist clientele world wide. Highly limited "Oceano" edition (only 50 pieces ever created), entirely hand made of Murano multi-layer "sommerso" glass, depicting a marine scene, with vividly colored whales and 24kt Gold accents. In impeccable condition, complete, perfectly functional, uses one E27 light bulb.
