Mid-Century Chunk Glass Lamp, Tin shade and base, Brass Finial. A leaded chunky art glass table lamp, retro looking dimpled tin, with a pagoda shaped shade and a black metal base. The big glass jewel chunks (7-8 per side) give off a colorful glow when lit, a classic mid-century look. The lamp has a functioning in-line on/off switch. The bottom of the base opens to change light bulb.
Condition overall is average, all chunks of glass in place and most tightly set in the lead. Nader or Peter Marsh or? This piece does not have a Nader sticker on the base like some examples. This lantern has small square air holes on the rims above and below the glass.
Other variations of this lamp have triangles or ovals. This shade has the typical four vents.
This unique style of lamp has been described as House of Peter Marsh with his iconic. Brutalist style, or some say Arts & Crafts style, or Nader Mid-century modern. Whatever - it is really quite impressive when lit up. It is approximately 6" wide at the top and 5" at the base and. The bulb work fine, but not guaranteed after transit.
